Meet Families Waiting to Adopt

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) has many wonderful families who are waiting to adopt a baby. All of our families have been pre-screened and licensed to be sure that every baby adopted through LSSI is going to a loving, safe home.

All families must have a background check and we visit their home to make sure it is safe and appropriate for a child. All of our families must also meet with an LSSI counselor to discuss their reasons for adopting. They also must attend classes to prepare for parenting.
