Looking to Adopt?

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) works with many families each year who want to build their families through adoption.

• One option is domestic infant adoption (the adoption of a child born in the U.S. who is under one year of age – usually a newborn – at the time of the adoptive placement). Many people believe that adopting a baby domestically is no longer a viable option, but we find it is the right choice for many families.
• Another option is international adoption. Children all over the world await adoptive families; LSSI can help you explore whether international adoption would be a good fit for you and your family.
